Bob received accolades from the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District for developing a plan and guiding the process that resulted in St. Dunstan’s preschool achieving a water credit that allowed the school to obtain permit compliance. The project components included a re-designed water efficient landscape, and state of the art irrigation system with weather based control. In addition to the water credit, the site benefited from lower water costs, as well as the beautification of the school and church landscape.

Utilizing his personal experiences and the educational materials he developed as a college instructor for over 15 years, Bob developed a series of technical water management workshops, created specifically for the working landscape professional. The successes of the 2008 workshops lead to a similar request from the conservation staff in 2009.
